Description
Whitman’s Authorized Editions
First released in 1941, the Whitman Authorized Editions series was a product line that included a group of 19 books we call the “Movie Star Mysteries.” Each book featured a popular actress (and, in three cases, actor) in a fictitious story involving them in danger and intrigue.
Hampton Sides, Outside and In
The editor-at-large of Outside magazine is in the enviable position of being able to choose his projects and develop them in his own time. The resultant books, about subjects such as a dramatic rescue mission during World War Two, Kit Carson, and the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., make fascinating and illuminating reading.
