Description

Evan Hunter, Ed McBain
(and All):
A Special Issue
When young native New Yorker Salvatore A. Lombino began publishing his stories, he was told he would sell more copies of his work with an Americanized name. He quickly changed his legal name to Evan Hunter, but used many more pseudonyms over the course of his long and prolific career. By the end of that career, Hunter was better known by the name he adopted for his 87th Precinct series: Ed McBain. Under any name, he was a thoroughly professional writer, entertaining, inventive, provocative, funny and thoughtful.
