Description

Mario Puzo’s THE GODFATHER

Over 20 years ago we published an article entitled “Trash Collecting.” Along with such certifiable trash as Forever Amber and The Carpetbaggers, it included Mario Puzo’s The Godfather. That novel hasn’t changed since the earlier article, but perhaps we did not fully appreciate it as classic literature.

Mario Puzo: A Checklist of First Editions

First edition copies of The Godfather are expensive in collector’s condition, and as more readers discover Puzo’s earlier novels they have become scarce and pricey as well.

Screenplays Co-written by Mario Puzo

Mario Puzo did not consider himself to be a screenwriter, but he won two Oscars for the screenplays he co-wrote with director Francis Ford Coppola.

Into the Woods. Collecting Rosina Lippi

The life of American frontiersman Daniel Boone was a major influence on James Fennimore Cooper’s Leatherstocking Tales which, in turn, was a major influence on Rosina Lippi’s series of novels written under the pseudonym Sara Donati.
